The role of Director of Finance – Operations is a high profile appointment within the finance leadership team and will see you report to the COO (UK) and Group CFO and manage a team of 8 direct reports. The primary purpose of the role is to have overall financial leadership and responsibility for 4 manufacturing facilities with combined sales of £45m. The 4 sites are based in Pinxton, Nottingham, Leicestershire & West Middlesex. You will predominantly be based at the Pinxton site which is responsible for over 80% of the sales but some travel to the other sites is to be expected. You will be responsible for providing financial operational support to the Senior Management Team and delivering the financial governance, reporting, FP&A requirements of the Group on a timely basis. The position will also see you take ownership for the IT operations across all 4 sites.
To be considered for this opportunity it is expected you will be degree educated and hold a full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will already have a number of years’ experience managing the financial operations of a multi-site engineering/manufacturing business ideally within Aerospace although this is not essential. You will also have a strong track record of team leadership and development across multiple sites. The business is still going through a period of change and transition so you must be confident in delivering continuous improvement on processes and controls during this time.
