An Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing business based on the out-skirts of Bristol (Great access from the M5) is looking to employ a Design Manager to further enhance their speed to customer and overall product quality. Your new role
As the Engineering Manager; you will be leading a team of 8. You will be expected to support the team in achieving all KPI metrics’ are hit (OTIF Delivery, Lead Time, RFT and Product Accuracy). As the Engineering Manager, you will generate and submit approved electrical schematics; mechanical drawings & work/specification instructions for production of industrial battery charger systems. You will undertake the system design of industrial battery charger systems (24 to 220 VDC) including the sizing, selection of key components such as transformers, power modules, contactors, fuses and batteries.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Engineering Manager vacancy, you must first of all have a strong hands on design skill set, ideally accompanied by an electrical design focused degree. You must be highly skilled at using AutoCAD plus have a AC (single and three phase) and DC (24, 48, 110, 220V up to 350A). To support your career progression, it would be highly advantageous to have a deep understanding of Lean / 6 Sigma processes
What you’ll get in return
As the Engineering Manager, you’ll earn a salary of up to £55,000 which is dependant upon your experience. In addition to this generous salary, you’ll also join their bonus scheme and receive generous pension contributions.
