Due to recent investment a large heavy engineering company of complex components has a new vacancy for an Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing the engineering strategy, improving equipment efficiency, driving a positive cultural change and applicants are sought with experience working in a similar environment.
The Role
Due to recent investment a large engineering company has a new vacancy for an Engineering Manager to lead the development of the engineering strategy, improve equipment performance and drive a positive cultural change across the plant.
Key responsibilities
Drive a continuous improvement ethos across the engineering department
Improve OEE
Develop a positive cultural change within the engineering function
Work with senior leadership team to ensue business wide targets are achieved
Advance the Planned Predictive Maintenance (PPM) program
Identify, propose and manage capital equipment investment and projects
Effectively manage performance of team members setting personal objectives and development plans
Establish an effective internal communication engineering strategy.
The Candidate
Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience you will have a proven track record of leading and managing a multidisciplined team in a precision engineering environment. Candidates must have held full functional responsibility for an engineering department and have a demonstrable experience of managing large capital projects on time and within budget.
With excellent leadership skills you will place an emphasis on creating a positive culture and will have a track record of developing people. An analytical problem solver you will be able to network and build relationships and will have experience of multi-million budgetary responsibility.
