My client, a niche supplier into the Automotive sector is looking for an exceptional Finance Director to ultimately take control of the financial management and running of the UK plant. Being plant-based, this is a senior hands-on Finance Director position, managing 5 people, working with shared services overseas and having two reporting lines; one being in the UK and the other central Europe.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
• Being the main point of contact for all critical financial queries in the plant
• Responsible for the plants’ budget planning, MPT, forecast
• Leadership and development of the Finance team which includes Tax, Management Accounting. Local IT and Indirect Purchasing will also report in
• Responsibility for monthly Closing and Management-Reporting (incl. Analysis)
• Responsibility for all tax related topics (Corporation Tax, VAT, customs duties and excise, Intrastat and EC Sales reporting)
• Responsibility for project controlling of running production projects
• Search and implementation/initiation of potential improvements in the company (cost/revenue optimisation)
• Maintain internal control safeguards and risk management
We are looking for people with experience of the following:
• Experience of controlling a manufacturing business, ideally within the Automotive sector
• In depth-knowledge of P&L in standard costing, balance Sheet and cash Flow
• Entrepreneurial thinking
• An excellent relationship builder and communicator
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Experience in working with Accounting Shared Services
• A demonstrable track record of leading and developing people
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
