You will be working for an Italian food manufacturing company with over 150 years of rich history. With a diverse portfolio of well-known European brands under their umbrella, they are in a strong position to pivot and break into the UK and wider markets.
Your new role
As the UK General Manager, you will be working closely with the Italian Board of Directors to understand the group’s aims and objectives, and drive these within the UK business. You will be responsible for managing and scaling up a, currently, very small London office as the business aims to break into the UK market. You will partner with the wider business to develop the UK commercial strategy and be responsible for implementing this moving forward. You will manage and develop key commercial relationships with UK distributors. You will be responsible for the UK P&L, so experience in managing and dealing with P&L in the past is crucial.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will need to have previous experience within a leadership position, ideally within a similar business/industry. You must be able to speak fluent Italian to be eligible for this role. You must be able to demonstrate proven experience in leading and growing teams within a scale-up environment. You must be highly organised and an expert communicator who is able to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels to achieve optimal commercial outcomes for the business.
