An FMCG company based in Northamptonshire are recruiting for a personable and forward thinking Head of HR, this crucial appointment will hold leadership for the HR department with management responsibility for 5 direct reports.
The Role
Head of HR responsibilities:
• Management responsibility for 5 direct reports within human resources, learning & development and recruitment
• Lead, coach and support the HR team to deliver the full life-cycle of an employee from recruitment to retirement
• Working closely with the HR Director, you will lead and develop the people strategy and practices
• Provide full leadership and advice in respect of all HR legislation`s and company policy, including recruitment, retention, performance, recognition, reward, employment law and equality
• Set, oversee and monitor the annual HR budget and sign off invoices where needed Champion operational HR plans for the year, form strong relationships with heads of department and managers, ensure best practices are followed
• Provide leadership and professional advice in relation to recruitment of high-quality people
• Work with the HR Director in embedding talent management and succession plans to ensure a talent pipeline, establishing key competencies for each department and specific role
• Collaborate with line managers in delivering training and development strategy for employees
• Proactively identify people issues within the business and work with key stakeholders to formulate solutions
• Champion the companies food safety policy at all times and maintain a food safety culture, supporting as outlined with FSSC22000
The Person
As the Head of HR:
• CIPD qualified to Level 5 as a minimum
• Experience as a HR generalist and people coach
• Hold a Degree in a relevant subject such as Human Resources or Business Studies
• Experienced in dealing with heads of department and managers
• Have fantastic people skills and able to manage a team personably
• Ideally have experience with a large multi-national/international business
• International HR experience with growing business
• Support the strategic growth of a forward-thinking business
