Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working in partnership with a market leading UK based manufacturer who supply an exceptional range of products to a large customer base across the UK and internationally.With several sites across the UK this fast-paced manufacturing business are looking to recruit a driven, strategic and people-orientated Head of Manufacturing to take full, site-wide responsibility of their manufacturing facility in Doncaster.
Job Description
The Head of Manufacturing will form part of the senior leadership team of this impressive manufacturing facility and will have full site responsibility for all operational performance across manufacturing, H&S, quality, business improvement, engineering and maintenance.
Reporting directly into the UK General Manager, you will be tasked with leading and developing a culture of success through a team of 8 direct reports, and a wider team of 200+.Other day to day responsibilities will include:
• Achieving stringent KPIs
• Driving a culture of delivering product on time, in full and to the right standards
• Managing core values to create a cohesive team
• Promoting a culture focussed on continuous improvement across the whole operation
• Developing high performing teams
• Contributing to operational strategy and challenging daily perform to achieve these
• Acting as an agent for change
The Successful Applicant
Successful candidates will have a strong assembly-led manufacturing background and a proven ability in leading and developing teams. You will provide inspirational management and possess:
• Knowledge of operational management and organisational methods
• Strong, passionate and motivational leadership skills with the ability to build a culture of success
• Ability to manage complex projects and proactively address issues
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business
• An exemplary track record of health & safety delivery and improvement
