A large and rapidly growing biotechnology business in Oxford is recruiting for a Head of Manufacturing position. This Scientific R&D company require a hands-on manufacturing leader who is educated to PhD level, and also has experience with either Microscopy, Nanoimaging, Lasers or other scientific high-value manufacturing.
The Role
Hold responsibility for the efficient production and shipment of the product worldwide
Manage the entire supply chain, logistics, production, quality control
This person will also lead the continuous improvement engineering team as well
The ideal candidate will propose and maintain delivery of short, medium and long-term production strategy
And also optimise their team and manufacturing process to ensure the highest standard of products and on-time deliveries to customers
The Person
Ideally degree qualified to PhD level within Science (physics or biology), optics, nanoimaging or engineering
Hands on production experience within previous positions held
Working manufacturing experience with either microscopy, lasers, nanoimaging, surgical or biological products would be beneficial
Hands on production experience in previous roles building high-value devices
Experience leading a broad team comprising of different departments
