About Our Client
Michael Page Manufacturing is working in partnership with a market leading Manufacturing business that is looking for a Head of Production to join its business based in Wisbech
The Head of Production will be responsible for full end to end operations on site including all health and safety, quality, production processes, procurement, supply chain, warehouse, maintenance and process improvements
Our customer is a bespoke manufacturer and is known in its line of work for an extremely high level quality of product, that much so most new business is generated from word of mouth. This business has recently gone through a transformation and ready for an Operational Leader to enhance its ability to grow!
Job Description
The Head of Production will be the go to person to drive operational efficiency, driving a collaborative and positive culture. they will also be accountable for the whole operation reporting into the Group Operations Director and be accountable for all operational KPI’s and costs.
Other responsibilities include:
• Focused on operational optimisation
• Able to manage engineering and operational employees
• Able to create and drive a robust operational plan in a environment that changes quickly
• Able to measure, assess and deliver decision based on data
• Be customer focused at the heart of everything they do
• Drive improvement programmes to cut waste
• Lead the business to a positive behavioural mindset shift
• Used to running a full business operation and be accountable for its performance
• Able to deliver a hands-on approach to the role with an engaging nature
• Drive the companies approach to developing a best in class delivery to their customer
• Create, agree and implement strategy
• Build a structure to facilitate growth & succession
The Successful Applicant
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
• Degree Qualified – would be preferred in an engineering discipline
• A proven track record at Leading a positive behavioural shift in a manufacturing business
• Passion about making a difference and delivering a high quality product
• A commercial knowledge base would be highly beneficial
• Knowledge of a workshop environment would be advantageous
• Highly capable of using Lean tools and technique’s
• A data driven and methodical leader
• Is a clear and comfortable communicator
• A hands-on approach to running a business
• A passion to improve and enhance an already capable operations and engineering team
