Your new role
Reporting directly to the HR Director, the Supply will work alongside the Supply Chain leadership teams acting as a true business partner and provide full generalist People & Culture support. As an experienced HR Business Partner with at least 5 years’ experience, our candidate must have experience working in a unionised environment, particularly manufacturing and be comfortable working both operationally and with a more strategic focus delivering projects as required.
This is your opportunity to:
• Become an active member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, defining in partnership the people agenda and supporting the broader operational requirements
• Work with key stakeholders to drive employee engagement, delivering opportunities to develop engagement and drive performance
• Drive the annual People & Culture cycle, including Talent Review, Performance and Development
• Oversee Supply Chain recruitment which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, sifting application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates
• Act as a coach to support and develop line managers
• Manage the whole employee life cycle
• Build strong relationships with operations partners, Union representatives, P&C colleagues and other business partners to jointly deliver business objectives
What you’ll need to succeed
We’re looking for a Business Partner who is a proven generalist and used to working in a fast paced environment, you will be required to make independent decisions and be self-sufficient whilst exercising strong personal judgement and high levels of integrity. You’ll demonstrate strength in collaboration and communication and be a strong influencer. You’ll be able to balance risk with practicality and commercial requirements and have a flexible approach to problem solving and project management. Ideally you’ll be CIPD qualified, with a thorough understanding of employment legislation and case law as well as best practice.
