A well established and growing FMCG business has a permanent opportunity for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager (HSE Manager). The role is based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Part of the senior leadership team you will provide strategic leadership aspects for all aspects of S&H across the business.
The Role
• Hold overall functional accountability at site level for S&H performance
• Ensure all products manufactured are produced complying with all legal and business SHE standards
• Create a compelling understanding of S&H values and inspire stakeholders to excel in compliance
• Ensure training and coaching is provided to managers and team members to help them take ownership, lead and manage S&H within their area of responsibility
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure delivery of high-quality and efficient S&H support
• Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed
• Engage with external stakeholders
• Liaise with all customers on all safety matters
• Manage environmental policies and activities
• Deputise for the quality manager if needed
The Person
• A self-motivated and enthusiastic person
• Experience working in a Health, Safety & Environmental discipline
• Qualifications related to the HSE discipline
• Exposure to working in the food & drink (FMCG) industry would be beneficial
• A capable communicator who can support the senior leadership team
• Live commutable distance from Pembrokeshire
