Due to growth a leading manufacturer supplying high technology sectors has a new vacancy for an IT Manager. An experienced, hands-on Senior IT Professional you will be responsible for all IT helpdesk, Infrastructure, Systems development and Management Information activities and must have worked within a fast paced environment such as manufacturing or distribution.
The Role
You will be tasked with managing the IT team and ensuring upkeep and compliance of all IT Systems and equipment on site.
Key responsibilities:
Project managing installation of new systems, IT equipment and processes
Upgrading, testing and maintaining the plants Disaster Recovery plans
Implement and improve IT Policies and Procedures in line with Corporate and Divisional Objectives.
Maintain good relationship with local IT Service providers and Suppliers
Lead and Develop the IT Team by ensuring a proactive approach is taken
Plan and install PC software and equipment upgrades consistent with policy and direction
Manage IT Helpdesk and prioritise workload between team
Lead IT projects and multiple audits
Monitoring and Managing back-ups and disaster recovery development
Recommend IT Solutions in line with business needs
Drive IT Vendors to keep costs and lead times down
The Candidate
An experienced senior IT professional you will have strong leadership skills and will have worked in a fast paced environment such as manufacturing or distribution.
You will have managed complex ERP systems and have strong SQL development skills. Extensive experience working in a heavily virtualized VMWare and Wintel Estate and good understanding of IT Frameworks such as ITIL.
With excellent communication skills you will be a self-starter and be able to prioritise your own work.
