What you will do
As Lead Engineer Vehicle Packaging/Integration;
• To provide broad ranging Technical Leadership for the successful and timely delivery of outputs from the project in the field of vehicle design, build and integration
• To develop and monitor achievement of overall technical broad targets integrating design, CAE, development, legal and performance criteria.
• Managing the strip and benchmarking of competitor vehicles & managing, planning and leading subjective and objective vehicle tests
• Providing practical guidance to design teams, managing procurement and build of prototype vehicles managing development testing of prototype vehicles
• To ensure DVP testing validates compliance with technical and legal targets
What you will need
As Lead Engineer Vehicle Packaging/Integration;
• Degree or equivalent in an engineering / scientific discipline
• Significant industrial experience in the delivery of automotive development projects
• The ability to provide technical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers
• Technical and personal credibility, working effectively with cross functional teams and other business functions
• Experience in the build of prototype vehicles from clean concept and/or running mules
• Experience of creation and maintenance of CAD models (Catia V5) of vehicle package zones or systems
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing own workload and that of the team
