A fantastic opportunity for a new IDT Advisor in the North West region to deliver specialist advice to a portfolio of ambitious business owners and senior managers of SMEs. This client base has huge potential to achieve growth and productivity increases through the adoption of Industrial Digital Technologies (IDTs). The role will assess the potential of eligible businesses to adopt IDT, diagnose any barriers to innovation or advancement which may be holding back growth and agree suitable action plans including funding applications for grant-support to address these to release growth opportunities
The role of IDT Adviser will include the following
• Undertake detailed diagnostics on businesses to identify needs, that would be addressed through the identification of potential IDT solutions
• Produce the maximum impact in terms of assisting client companies to reach their full growth potential
• Support clients in their application for grant-funding to the programme by completing and submitting the relevant programme documentation and act as an advocate for the client at the Investment Decision stage
• Ensure clients are personally introduced to those services identified as appropriate (public and private sector)
• Create training materials for the Growth Hub and other partner Advisers to ensure that all are competent to discuss IDT with their client base to ensure that digital technologies are discussed with all sectors where there is an opportunity to improve productivity
• Generate a pipeline of businesses looking to receive support
The suitable candidate for IDT Adviser will need to possess the following competences:
• Sales and account management skills
• Presentation skills both written and oral
• Excellent communication and networking skills
• Excellent planning, organisational, administrative and project management skills
• Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised management information systems, spreadsheets, diary management, e-mail and CRM databases
