Part of a global organisation; this successful division manufacture for multiple sectors including aerospace, pharmaceutical, automotive and rail. They are currently recruiting a Maintenance Manager to join the senior team; candidates must have worked in fast paced manufacturing and have proven leadership skills.
The Role
You will responsible for leading a multiskilled maintenance team ensuring downtime of machinery is kept to a minimum. The role also focuses on continually improving the reliability of key machines by taking a proactive approach to preventative maintenance activities and process improvements.
Key responsibilities
Work with senior management team to improve efficiency and reliability
Plan & control the work for a team of Maintenance Engineers
Develop, implement and control the preventive maintenance plan
Give technical direction and support to the Maintenance Engineers
Develop and manage a TPM schedule
Lead and communicate actions and status on a daily basis within the production meeting
Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards
The Candidate
With a background in Maintenance you must have proven experience of leading a team within a fast-paced complex manufacturing environment. You will be comfortable working hands on when the need arises and providing guidance to engineers when the need arises.
With a good understanding of best practice, you will have excellent people skills with the ability to get the best out of a team.
