Our client is a fast-growing UK based distributor of high-quality leather sofas, located in Milton Keynes. They are a strategic partner with a large-scale manufacturing facility in the Far East and a leading distributor of premium leather upholstery in the US AND Canada, with clients such as Costco, R C Wiley and Walmart.
They are currently looking for a General Manager to run the UK business and continue the growth and developments of the business moving forward both in the UK and overseas. The company will be re-branding the business with a new focus and direction for both targeting new markets and providing no only high-quality sofas but also total ‘living space’
Key Tasks
– Overall responsibility of P&L and balance sheet of the UK company
– Lead the management and development of the company and contribute effectively to the day to day operations and growth strategy
– Deliver on short and long term strategic vision of the company and implement cultural change
– Full management, leadership, and development of staff
– Strong focus on service, quality, products, and delivery
Your Profile
– Experience in the furniture manufacturing sector, desirable but not essential
– A track record of business growth with full P&L responsibility in the manufacturing/retail sector
– Significant operations and business development experience
– Evidence of leading organisational change
– An excellent man-manger, able to develop, coach and mentor.
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Within easy commuting distance of Milton Keynes
