The business is looking for its next leader to grow the company even further than where they are.
This is a business that has grown. The current turnover is circa £14m and now has the backing of a global industrial group. This growth has been developed through the strength of its relationships with suppliers, customer and as crucially it’s people.
As well as the above, they have a strong procurement and customer focused reputation.
This particular opportunity will be involved in promoting the lean operations culture and mentality across a number of area which includes the internal warehouse and distribution networks. You will be tasked with identifying low hanging fruits and seeking out those marginal gains that really make a difference.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will need to be:
• Highly relationship focused individual with exemplary communication skills.
• Experienced in both sales and procurement in the manufacturing environment, ideally across Europe and the Far East
• Focused on bringing new and innovative products to market effectively and profitably (medium / high volume with low margins)
• Able to understand the history and culture of the business, the nature of the deep personal relationships established with customers and suppliers and the need to further nurture these.
