We are currently seeking to recruit a Manufacturing Business Improvements Manager to join a leading global manufacturing firm based from their production facility in Greater Belfast. Our client is a leading supplier of critical equipment to the aerospace and marine sector. Due to growth plans at their Belfast operation, they need a Manufacturing Business Improvements Manager to develop and improve existing manufacturing systems and processes while driving other continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Your new role
In your new role of Manufacturing Business Improvements Manager, you will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for leading a team of Manufacturing Engineers. In this important role, you will lead continuous improvement activity across the site and work closely with the Group Business Improvement Manager. You will be tasked with leading, coaching and mentoring the Production Engineering team while also taking responsibility for making improvements on areas and functions such as SOPs, work instructions, factory layout etc. You will support New Product Introduction (NPI) and make recommendations for capital expenditure. In this unique and challenging role, you will have the opportunity to implement manufacturing KPIs and advances in new technology relating to processes and materials.

What you’ll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing this exciting new role you should be coming with a level 4 qualification in an Engineering related discipline, at least 2 years’ experience of managing team of engineering and previous experience working in a process improvement role. You should have skills & experience in Lean, Six Sigma and CI. It is essential that you have strong leadership, communication and technical reporting skills.
