Michael Page Manufacturing & Page Executive is working in partnership with a market leading Manufacturing business that are looking for a Operations Director to join their manufacturing facility in Gloucestershire
The Operations Director will be responsible for full end to end operations on site including all health and safety, quality, production processes, procurement, supply chain, warehouse, maintenance and process improvements

Job Description
The Operations Director will be the go to person to drive plant efficiency, driving a collaborative and positive culture. they will also be accountable for the whole facility and be accountable for all site KPI’s and costs.
Other responsibilities include:
• Focused on plant optimisation and not just through put
• Able to measure, assess and deliver decision based on data
• Be customer focused at the heart of everything they do
• Drive improvement programmes to cut waste
• Lead the business to a positive behavioural mindset shift
• Used to running a Full manufacturing operation and be accountable for its performance
• Able to deliver a hands-on approach to the role with an engaging nature
• Ensuring the business operates a progressive supply chain with strong supplier relationships
• Drive the companies approach to developing approaches to ensure best in class delivery to their customer
• Create, agree and implement strategy
• Build a structure to facilitate growth & succession
The Successful Applicant
• IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
• A proven track record at Leading a positive behavioural shift in a manufacturing business
• Passion about making a difference
• Background in running Manufacturing operations – 5 years minimum is preferred
• Degree Qualified – would be preferred
• knowledge of assembly manufacturing would be advantageous
• Highly capable of using Lean tools and technique’s
• Able to work and utilise process based systems
• A data driven and methodical leader
• Is a clear and comfortable communicator
• A hands-on approach to running a business
• A passion to improve and enhance an already capable operations and engineering team
