Consilium Recruit is exclusively partnering a leading engineering & manufacturing group who specialise in innovative solutions & products to the EV and clean energy sectors. Due to the award of new programs and expansion, they have a number of new vacancies to join their team and are currently recruiting for an Operations Director. You will be responsible for organising and oversee daily operations and the successful candidate will have worked in a high technology organisation.

The Role
Work with the Executive Team to identify and deliver the business objectives.
Lead company strategy for Programme Management, Supply Chain Management, Facilities, Information Technology (IT), Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety.
Directing and overseeing operations staff to ensure they are motivated and effective.
Develop policies and procedures to comply with applicable legislation and internal standards.
Managing operational budgets to promote profitability.
Managing resources to ensure they are available and maintained to support the business needs.
Develop, maintain, and deliver effective business systems for the organisation.
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
Ensuring services and products are delivered on-time, within budget and to the right standards.
Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to objectives and apply improvements.
Overseeing facilities and manufacturing to the appropriate scale and flexibility.
Overseeing quality assurance and quality management systems.
Overseeing environmental, health and safety activities (EHS).

The Candidate
Degree level education in an Engineering or related discipline.
Experienced in operational roles and management of cross-functional teams.
Experience of delivering projects and programmes in a collaborative environment.
Experience of managing diverse business functions and adopting to changing needs.
Management experience of Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety (QEH&S).
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
A proven track record in leading a business or department.
Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
