Our client is a large manufacturer in the Perthshire area looking for a Manufacturing Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering manufacturing targets through the effective management, development and coaching of a multifunctional team.
Specific responsibilities & tasks
• Improve overall customer experience through improved service levels, effective 5S execution and adherence to the ISO standard.
• Establish and facilitate departmental procedures which in turn enhance the production and efficiency of the department, while supporting safety policies and procedures.
• Effectively develop team members using situational leadership and performance management tools to ensure employees’ potential is achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement activities across the stream, delivering productivity in a safe and effective manner while maintaining product quality.
• Implement, oversee, and control the production schedule.
• Supervise, review and revise crew scheduling, if required.
• Oversee and review time and attendance of staff, as well as holiday approvals.
• Monitor and regulate staffing needs to ensure optimum staffing levels are supporting business demands.
• Analyse production, quality control and budgetary outcome of projects.
• Audit all personnel PPE requirements and needs.
• Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between departments for job completion.
• Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.
• Monitor and schedule orientation and other training for new and existing employees in conjunction with Health & Safety.
• Will always practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite.
• Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment.
• Comply with all the client policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements.
• Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person.

• Proven experience in production management.

Organisational responsibilities: (e.g. matrix/functional)
• Human Resources: Liaise with your direct reports on all HR matters. Maintain employee confidentiality and performance management by coaching, leading, mentoring, and motivating employees.
• Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety requirements. Verify all the client documents are completed accurately, maintaining employee records and ensuring compliance of all employees and subcontractors with provincial laws and the client policies.
• Facilities: Responsible for the maintenance of facilities at both their sites, except for the office and visitor area.
