A leading manufacturer to the aerospace sector has a new vacancy for an Operations Manager. Working for a large group which can offer excellent career opportunities you must have worked in a fast paced manufacturing / engineering environment.
The Role
Part of Senior Management, the role will be responsible for operational functions in order to achieve build plans, targets and customer delivery. This will be achieved through the direction and supervision of a team of managers in each area such as Production, Facilities, Process Improvement etc.
You will lead a site wide manufacturing team to ensure that production and productivity targets are met, EHS standards are maintained, maintenance of key plant is to a high quality, control and discipline standards are high, all employee training requirements are fulfilled, metallurgical standards are maintained and remain within budget.
You will develop a culture of continuous improvement through the utilisation of Lean Manufacturing tools to coach, lead and manage employees to embrace the culture of never-ending improvement in safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
The Candidate
Candidates should have experience of working in a lead role in a 24/7 operation managing large teams (300 plus) in a manufacturing environment.
You must have a proven track record in manufacturing management with a demonstrable track record of achieving results & managing change. Committed to business improvement and growth you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.
