A supplier to the major retailers across the UK with a technically advanced production facility. They hold a high importance throughout the business for people, quality, sustainability and environmental concerns, backed by their Silver accreditation from M&S and a Tesco Blue Award to name a few. Over the recent years the site has undergone significant investment and appointed a new senior management team, now they are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to control and drive all production areas as they continue their journey of growth.
Your new role
You be an active part of the senior management team, with 4 direct reports and over 100 indirect you will be responsible for safely meeting and exceeding the production efficiencies and the manufacturing of quality products in line with customer requirements. The site is undergoing a sustained period of growth, as such changes will be required in terms of internal processes and the ongoing development of people, you will be required to identify these changes and manage them through successfully. Working closely with other functional heads across CI, Engineering, H&S and Supply Chain you will spearhead cultural change management projects throughout the operations in a positive manner. You will constantly review performance, quality and costs to ensure the ongoing success of the operations.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are seeking an experienced FMCG Operations Manager who is used to the demands of retailers. You will have strong personal skills in order to integrate within the senior management team and influence change throughout the operations, you must be calm under pressure and be a driven, enthusiastic, motivational and proactive leader.
