Operations Manager

A large and growing ingredients supplier has an immediate requirement for an Operations Manager, based in Suffolk on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Director, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years` experience within production management experience within an FMCG environment.
The Role of Operations Manager:
Lead and give direction to ingredient manufacturer production department
Monitor and control key business performance indicators to promote sustainable business operations
Control budgeted costs for the production of the ingredients and review monthly
Lead adherence to health, safety and environment control and respond within agreed timescales
Continuously develop structure and efficient allocation of resources within the team and develop as appropriate
Maintain current certification standards and achievement of agreed new standards
The Person:
Excellent organisational ability to facilitate project completion timescales and also ability to manage junior staff
Uphold good team spirit and therefore also uphold high standards for production and technical excellence
Drive continuous change, and be a key member of the senior management team
Liaise effectively with external organisations
Integrity in operations and a passion for the ingredients supplied
Strong experience in production and operations within the FMCG sector
