Your new role
As a senior member of the site management team you will contribute to the overall delivery of the company’s strategic plan. Reporting into the Factory Manager you will efficiently manage the production and packing area delivering the following key duties-
Management of the teams to deliver and improve performance in the key areas of safety, product quality, cost and manufacturing.
Strive to reduce cost, downtime and increase productivity across all areas.
All aspects of budget control
Manage the ‘day to day’ operation via Team Leaders / Deputy Team Leaders
Maintain and improve effective communication at all levels
To maintain and improve Health & Safety performance
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be able to demonstrate you are a ‘hands on’ manager able to react swiftly to changing production demands, delivering effective and timely solutions
A professional FMCG Operations / Production Manager with demonstrable experience and achievement
Have a working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques including 5S — lean manufacturing methodologies, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Highly motivated, results driven, able to express a ‘vision’ and set goals for team members
You will be able to demonstrate leadership, be highly visible to all employees and be able to motivate people with varying skill levels whilst relishing the challenge of working in a demanding production environment
