Operations Manager

A large and growing ingredients supplier has a requirement for an Operations Manager, based in Suffolk on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Production Director, the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years‘ experience within production management experience within FMCG environment.
The Role of Operations Manager:
• Drive continuous improvement and deliver challenging volume requirements within set cost parameters
• Monitor and control key business performance indicators to promote sustainable business operations
• Strategize a plan to produce ingredients and continuously develop efficient allocation of resources within the team
• Develop cross functional relationships to drive efficiency of process
• Monitor and control budgets for all cost centres associated with production
• Lead adherence to health, safety and environmental control
• Uphold compliance standards including hygiene, quality and food safety
The Person:
• Excellent organisational ability to facilitate project completion timescales and also ability to manage junior staff
• Experience managing a team in a food (FMCG) manufacturing environment
• Excellent working knowledge in Continuous Improvement processes
• A strong collaborator who can build relationships, who can motivate a team
• Someone with a creative thought process who is a skilled problem solver
• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years‘ experience in food production or ingredients supply
