A long established and well-regarded construction product manufacturing and distribution business is seeking to appoint an Operations Manager to run the production and warehousing functions.
The company, under a new and dynamic senior management team, is increasing market share and now wishes to recruit a hands-on operational leader to drive further improvements in both production and warehousing. A company-wide transformation programme (which has been running for over a year) will require the individual to operate in a modern, fast-paced, and collaborative fashion, within a culture which welcomes constructive internal challenge -upwards, downwards and sideways.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will have full operational control over the plant and warehouse, and have the experience to make considered and sustainable changes to improve productivity and delivery on time, whilst reducing lead times and without ever compromising the very high quality standards for which the business is renowned.
As a member of the management team, your success will be driven by how you manage and implement change, so we are looking for a results-focused Operations Manager who has strong people skills along with a passion for manufacturing, using modern methods and dynamic continuous improvement techniques to create a culture of excellence throughout the business.
