The company is a fast growing, family run packaging manufacturer, who supply bespoke and technical packaging products. Due to organic growth, they are looking to recruit an Operations Manager, to oversee responsibility for production and warehouse teams. This person will also play a crucial role in development of the second site.
The Role
This person will be responsible for the production and warehouse teams, with 4 direct reports
Support in the set up and running of the second new site also
Responsible for ensuring all teams are being managed effectively and efficiently, with optimum outputs being delivered
Provide recommendations on improvements and efficiencies, as well as reporting on all operating efficiencies
Perform staff rotas, recruitment, appraisals, disciplinaries and form training development plans for direct reports
Lead ad hoc improvement and development projects
General site management
Implement and oversee operations when the new site opens in 2023
Work within company health and safety guidance
Assist with and follow BRC standards
Contribute to wider team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed and maintain a professional attitude
The Candidate
Previous Operations Manager experience is essential
Manufacturing experience is essential, and would be advantageous if you‘ve worked in FMCG/Food packaging industry
Experience in managing a small team, driving efficiencies
Must have great communication skills
Able to report and provide data on output of operation
Exposure to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
