A leading building supplies manufacturing business is looking to hire a Plant Manager due to the announcement of a retirement. This leading organisation has a very strong brand presence behind them and will be looking for a progressive leader that wants to develop both themselves and the business.
Your new role
As the Plant Manager, you will be reporting into the Managing Director with overall site responsibility of 40 employees. From these 40 colleagues, you’ll be ultimately responsible for goods in, packaging, goods out, maintenance and customer services. You will be responsible for a fleet of 4 HGV’s with the maintenance of these vehicles outsourced however you will need to support the O’license holder by correctly documenting issues.
What you’ll need to succeed
When applying for this Plant Manager vacancy; it is crucial to have gained experience of a packaging manufacturing facility. Ideally you’ll have gained a full CPC qualification however if you do not hold one, this employer of choice would be happy to support you in achieving this. It would be beneficial to have worked with products from the building industry previous however this will not be crucial to the success of your application.
What you’ll get in return
As the Plant Manager, you’ll earn a basic salary of between £40,000 and £50,000 (Dependant upon your experience). In addition to this, you’ll be given a large amount of holiday days (26) plus the standard 8 bank holidays. In addition to this, you’ll be given access to their company car fleet.
