About Our Client
Michael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a market leading materials processing business that are looking for a Plant Manager to join the team based in Derbyshire
The Plant Manager will be responsible for all of the Production processes on site including production output, projects, maintenance and plant optimisation.
This market leading manufacturer are continuing on a positive progression curve and are adding further talent to their established senior leadership team
Job Description
The Plant Manager will understand all processes on site and be the go to person to drive plant efficiency. they will also be accountable for the whole facility and be accountable for all site KPI’s and costs.
Other responsibilities include:
Focused on plant optimisation and not just through put
Able to measure, assess and deliver decision based on data
Drive improvement programmes to cut waste
Lead a team of technical and non technical operators
Used to running a plant operation and be accountable for its performance
Train co-workers on key processors
Able to deliver a hands-on approach to the role with in a automated process environment
The Successful Applicant
Degree Qualified Engineer – Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical or Production/Process
IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
knowledge of materials process environments would be advantageous
Highly capable of using Lean tools and technique’s
Comfortable in an Industrial environment and working with numerous materials
Able to work and utilise process based systems
A data driven and methodical leader
A proven track record in managing manufacturing plants
Is a clear and comfortable communicator
