An international organisation who are world leader in the manufacture of flow control solutions are looking to recruit a Process Engineering Manager. The role will see you manager process improvement projects as a small team. The ideal candidate will have come from a background of working in a `low volume high value` environment. And also have experience of machining.

The Role

The Processing Engineering Manager will serve as a member of the management team.
Manage and maintain operational process systems.
Ensure that the process standards, procedures and specifications are in place for operational assets.
Develop and implement process maintenance systems based on risk and reliability management principle.
Develop and implement process engineering initiatives to manage project implementation.
Support the recruitment, training and guide resources to improve total performance and productivity.
Manage process engineering team to ensure that process expertise personnel have the right talent and skills.
The Processing Engineering manager will establish process definitions for all the stages of project life cycle.
Plan organisational and technical strategies impacting budget, staffing, goals, and culture.
Develop and maintain New Product Introduction systems and processes to support the introduction of new business from receipt of contract through to production. Support with the management of New Product Introduction using relevant tools and techniques.
Support the Capital Investment process through the identification, justification and introduction of new equipment into the business.
Develop and maintain suitable KPI`s to drive departmental performance and support the PDCA process.
Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.
Develop best practice, routines and innovative solutions using lean manufacturing. methodology to improve productive output and the quality of output.

The Person

Significant previous experience of engineering/manufacturing in a precision manufacturing environment is essential.
Excellent proven work experience in process engineering.
Proven track record in engineering management and people management within a manufacturing environment is essential.
Experience working within a machining manufacturing environment.
Qualification in an Engineering or related discipline is desirable.
Precision engineering background is essential.
Strong computer literate skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing systems, machining, assembly and test.
Proven ability with problem solving tools and techniques.
Knowledge of process related standards.
Experience in process simulations.
