A Procurement Lead is required to join a specialist manufacturing business based in the Warrington area. The Procurement Lead will work as part of the Business Development and tendering team where you will evaluate supply chain requirements for future business development opportunities. Candidates with experience of working in Manufacturing environments would be well received.
Due to a period of growth this fantastic company, based in Wolverhampton requires a Procurement Lead to join the team for a new permanent opportunity working in a fast-paced environment. As the Procurement Lead, you will be required to:
• Attend industry events and seminars to develop a network of contacts and build on supply chain relationships
• Work with the Supply Chain Manager to introduce new suppliers
• Act as a main contact with suppliers and partners during the supplier tendering process
• Negotiating and agreeing contractual terms with suppliers
• Support the Make/Buy process for tenders
• Support the development of the procurement strategy and produce procurement plans
• Implement a formal process for technical/commercial of supplier PQQs, Quotations, bids and gaining best value through negotiations
• Ensure exclusive agreements (NDAs) are signed in accordance with procedure
The Procurement Lead should have the following skills or experience:
• A Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Procurement
• MCIPS qualification or working towards
• Experience of the NEC form of contract
• A technical knowledge in Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
