A UK leading supplier of high-integrity aerospace battery systems and surrounding technologies is currently looking for a Procurement Manager. They are now looking to expand their team to deliver exciting new projects.
The Role
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for;
• Purchase materials, parts, and services used in production of high-integrity battery systems
• Setup procurement processes
• Identify suppliers
• Set up supplier NDAs
• Issue RFIs, RFQs, and SOWs
• Supplier negotiations and contracts
• Obsolescence management
• Raising orders
• Tracking and managing delivery of parts
• Key point of contact for suppliers
• Assist in supplier quality audit
The Candidate
The Procurement Manager must have;
• Experience of direct procurement processes in a manufacturing business
• Battery system / electronics procurement experience is desirable, but not essential
• Aerospace experience is desirable, but not essential
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A self-starter, with a can-do attitude, and the ability to integrate into a small team
• Full UK driving license
• Flexibility to travel, both domestic and international
• A desire to accelerate the electrification of flight
