This Production Manager position is part of the succession planning within the business for the next 5 years. The company design and manufacture assembled products for both UK and international markets.
This is an SME business unit that thrives on its flexibility and agility to deliver to customer demand.
This role will oversee the production of the products in a manual assembly and test environment. You will work closely with supply chain to ensure minimum stock-holding and JIT material availability line side. You’ll be the instigator and facilitator of improvement ideas, coaching those around you to develop their own skill set at the same time. You’ll ensure delivery targets are met and RFT is driven through the factory.
As an SME business the successful candidate must be capable of doing and leading, but in doing so you will position yourself for future board and leadership positions in the business.
You must also come from an assembly type environment, candidates from process industries may find the nature of the work and manufacturing process alien.
