A global manufacturer of complex assemblies to the Aerospace industry has a new vacancy for a Production Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the day to day function in production, drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and worked in precision engineering.
The Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for activities of production on a day to day basis. The role will involve working towards quality standards, ensuring production targets are achieved, reduce costs and proactively promote & implement LEAN manufacturing tools.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the production schedules & TAT (Turnaround time)
Lead the development of a culture which supports process management and continuous improvement in alignment with company strategy.
OPEX savings
Ensure customer deadlines are achieved OTD (On Time Delivery)
Manage the team on shift ensuring quality and H&S requirements are adhered to.
Ensure measures are taken to achieve cost reduction opportunities and reduce waste
Make sure quality requirements are met.
Sale revenue and lead times
WiP (Work in progress)
The Candidate
Candidates must have a proven track record of senior management experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment and direct experience working in lean manufacturing. Committed to business improvement, growth and development of employees, you will be capable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans.
Candidates will ideally have a Degree in Engineering/ Science.
