Highly successful automotive components provider to high volume and prestige OEMs based in Coventry is seeking an experienced Interim Production Manager to create and nurture a profitable, lean and organised production environment promoting safe working and best practice at all times. The role is on a three month fixed term contract.
The Role
Reporting into the Plant Manager, the Production Manager will ensure production targets are achieved in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Using modern lean tools and visual management techniques, the Production Manager will support the Right-First-Time ethos and work to reduce the current scrap rates. Additionally, the Production Manager will support the re-positioning of the production lines, drive a culture of continuous improvement and support the production team leaders and operatives within the production floor. This is a days based role working, Monday to Friday.
The Person
The Production Manager will possess a proven track record in production leadership within an engineering product environment, ideally the automotive or aerospace sector and be highly conversant with managing a production floor in excess of 100 staff. Proven lean expertise and root cause problem solving skills are essential for the role in addition to supporting the introduction of new products and capital equipment into the production zones.
