A European leader in automotive manufacturing are looking for a Production Manager to join the Production team. You will be responsible for effectively managing production operations and the team, achieving production targets in line with the production plan. The successful Production Manager will have a degree, experience in Production Management and modern manufacturing methods and lean systems.
The Role
As a Production Manager you will;
Follow production plans and Group standard processes to assure feasibility of production plan
Work to financial targets and budget, managing production costs, maintaining product margin and monitoring productivity.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and maintaining a safe working environment in line with group HSE standards
Develop and train the team, understanding skills gaps and opportunities for career development
Act as official plant representative to the customer
Meet customer requirements concerning cycle time, delivery, quality, quantity and cost
Implement preventative and corrective measures in the production process to assure that customer demands are met
Implement action plans in order to improve functionality/productivity and to obtain program and Group objectives; make necessary corrective adjustments.
Participate in the creation of Production System Efficiency projects.
Coordinate resource planning with Industrial Engineering department concerning stocks, equipment, staffing, activities, etc.
Maintain dashboard indicators/status reports to monitor lead time, supply-chain targets, HSE performance, etc.
The Person
A Production Manager with;
Engineering Related degree in mechanical, manufacturing, automotive engineering or similar discipline
Experience in Production Management within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment, ideally automotive
Experience in managing a team
Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing methods and lean tools
