A global manufacturer of precision components has a new vacancy for a Production Manager to join their East Midlands plant. Working as part of the senior management team the successful candidate will oversee the day to day function in production, drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and have experience working in a machining production environment.
The Role
The Production Manager will be responsible for activities of production on a day to day basis. The role will involve implementing new production strategies, improving efficiency and developing plane improved capacity for delivery within a machining environment.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the development of a culture which supports process management and continuous improvement in alignment with company strategy.
Develop action plans focused in improving output.
Provide leadership through a twelve-month action plan for improvement
Work with the senior management team on improving customer satisfaction, employee relations and best practise.
Ensure measures are taken to achieve cost reduction opportunities and reduce waste
Improve manufacturing engineering capacity and efficiency
The Candidate
Candidates must have a proven track record of production / operational management experience gained in a precision machining environment.
