This is company has grown to become the largest NHS-owned contract manufacturer serving global markets and employs over 170 people in a wide range of roles from scientists and pharmacists to engineers and sales and marketing.
Your new role
As a Production Manager you will lead and develop the Production Team to manufacture pharmaceutical products within a sterile controlled environment. This involves chemical preparation, formulation, automatic filling, over-sealing of products, together with cleaning and sterilising of equipment in compliance with all manufacturing SOP’s.

Developing people through coaching and mentoring to build high performing teams.
Ensuring that manufactured products meet the requirements in law and comply with current Good Manufacturing Practice (c-GMP) under European Council Directive 2003/94.
What you’ll need to succeed
BSc degree in a Science discipline or knowledge gained from extensive specialist training and extensive experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing
Evidence of continued professional development
A deep understanding and knowledge of pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.
Extensive experience of management in a pharmaceutical or medical device production or packaging facility.
Ideally to have experience in sterile manufacturing but this isn’t vital
Good time management.
A deep understanding and knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH Assessments.
Experience and knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma, preferably to ‘yellow belt’ level.
