Your new company
A successful and well established engineering led manufacturer, with a long track record of achievement, a solid customer base, and strong reputation. They are currently undergoing a period of investment and are looking for a Production Manager to take on a particular area of the business.
Your new role
You will support and motivate approx 30 staff, via Team Leaders, to achieve all relevant KPI’s covering output volumes, quality, health and safety and more. You will plan manpower, control costs, and also support process improvement activities to drive performance.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have experience in a similar position, have proven people management skills, and be accustomed to manufacturing within a regulated sector where quality is of paramount importance (eg aerospace, automotive, marine, medical devices, pharma etc).
You will ideally have experience of using lean techniques to drive business performance, although training will be provided. It is likely that you will be familiar with good manufacturing principles, 5S, Lean, Kaizen, etc. Six Sigma an advantage but not essential and training will be provided.
The primary focus will be on someone who understands what impacts measurable performance, and can lead a team effectively, providing support and guidance through a period of investment and positive change. An Engineering Degree or background is also an advantage but not essential.
