Your new role
You will lead the Production team to meet customer orders, turning the monthly Demand Plan into weekly targets for Assembly and Kitting teams, and working within the senior management team to ensure this demand is met. This is a fast changing environment, and the successful candidate will enjoy providing positive leadership to guide the production function each week. You will also work with the Manufacturing Technical Department to install new products, processes and improvements at the fastest possible rate in accordance with business procedures.
Supported by the Production & Materials Planner, you will prioritise manufacturing activities to make sure equipment and resources are used effectively. Where problems arise, you will ensure they are dealt with quickly and will be confident in problem solving and making fact based decisions. You will need to juggle multiple priorities and be able to deliver clear, structured messages to the production team and the wider business. You will need to exhibit strong leadership and interpersonal skills to guide, coach and motivate the team (approx 25 staff including Team Leaders).
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be proven in a similar position, leading a team in a fast paced, quality driven, manufacturing environment. You will understand GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ideally have worked in a ISO 13485 environment (although this is not essential). Sage 200 experience (or similar) is also useful.
