Your new role
A vacancy has arisen for a highly driven and experienced production manager to join their production team. The successful candidate will lead the execution of the production plan. Assist the workshop foreman in the line management of production staff, ensuring sufficient cover and minimal downtime. Proactively liaise with all production staff to ensure timely resolution of production issues. Work in partnership with all departments to update the master production schedule, based on capacity, resource and customer constraints. Work seamlessly with purchasing and the workshop foreman to create, distribute and track works orders based on MRP suggestions to meet monthly build schedules. Create and manage daily works orders to expedite spares and consumables sales.

What you’ll need to succeed
Applicants must have experience in a similar production supervisor / planner role within a manufacturing company, preferably low volume manufacturing of electro mechanical equipment. Experience of utilising MRP, ERP systems (preferably Sage 1000, Sage X3) to drive production requirements. Capacity planning experience Exceptional drive and commitment to meet production commitments. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills. Exercises good judgment within broadly defined practises and policies in a high pressure manufacturing environment.
