Your new role
A new and exclusive opportunity for a Production Manager, based in Grimsby has arisen with a growing manufacturing business. As Production Manager you will be accountable for the performance of the production team to ensure maximum efficiency, product quality and profitability are delivered while maintaining the highest levels of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.

Key Duties Include:
Managing the overall performance of the production facility to maximise output and quality while maintaining high levels of safety and environmental performance and minimising the cost of production
• Ensuring team targets are set and met in line with wider corporate and business objectives, managing and appraising team performance
• Assisting in the development of the site operations strategy to achieve targets
• Customer focused to ensure products are manufactured to a high level of quality to meet the customer specifications
• Drive continuous improvement methodologies through all aspects of the production team
• Ensures that the production systems comply with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 standards
• Develop and improve all aspects of production operational control, management of change and emergency planning that form part of the business & key risk control systems
• Promoting a positive safety-first culture across all production areas
• Recruiting, training and developing the team, coaching to improve performance
• Controls manufacturing costs within budget, strives for efficiency improvements
• Managing the site capital project process and associated budget
• Adhering to all organisation policies and procedures.

What you’ll need to succeed
• Proven track record in a production management role in particular delivering results with a strong emphasis on leading, motivating and developing others
• Experienced in working in manufacturing, engineering or chemical industries
• NEBOSH Certificate
• Experienced in leading and coaching shift and day production teams to drive forward results and increase operational performance
• Strong knowledge of operating to ISO standards (9001, 14001 and 45001)
• Excellent communicator
• Good working knowledge of the tools and techniques of continuous improvement and how to successfully integrate these into a business
• Able to develop a people-centred culture based on best practice in manufacturing
• Ambitious, flexible with a hands-on approach to production management, self-motivated, energetic and able to thrive with significant levels of autonomy
• Determined and resilient, able to deal with challenging circumstances in a proactive and professional manner.
