Consilium Recruit is supporting a rapidly growing manufacturing and construction organisation specialising in offsite projects. They are seeking a Production Manager to lead the production team and achieve the desired outcomes for safety, delivery,
productivity, and quality. This is a permanent role working on a day shift basis, Monday to Friday.
The Role
The Production Manager will ensure that production output is met alongside achieving the required levels of quality and maintaining a safety-first culture across the operational areas of the business. The Production Manager will coordinate the activities of the Production Team Leaders and contribute to their upskilling and professional development.
The Production Manager will ensure that the relevant compliances are met including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. You will plan daily work schedules and carry out root cause analysis to problem solve and rectify issues within the factory.
This is a day shift based position working Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1630 hrs with some requirements to be visible across the Morning and Afternoon shifts to create the best possible impact on the team.
The Person
You will possess proven experience in Production Management ideally within offsite construction or similar. Applicants are also warmly welcomed from sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace or FMCG. A degree (or equivalent) level qualification is welcomed but not essential for the position of Production Manager.
Experience working with and developing Standard Operating Procedures and work plans is essential for the role in addition to experience in conducting factory based risk assessments.
You will be well versed in using modern lean manufacturing tools and analytical methods to create the most effective flow of work and streamlined production space.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with empathy and emotional intelligence are essential for the Production Manager role, communication with a diverse range of stakeholders is a daily part of the role.
