Job Description
• As a Production Manager you will play a key role in leading and developing processes and procedures, identifying new methods to streamline, update, and enhance the site’s production processes, procedures, and new technologies.
• Lead, manage and motivate a high-performance team of production employees.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure production processes meet industry standards and product quality.
• Implement safety and environmental policies in compliance with regulations.
• Plan and manage budgets, reducing unnecessary costs where possible.
• Collaborate with other department leads to streamline operations.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of machinery to ensure optimal productivity.
• Handle performance management, hiring, and training needs within the department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Production Manager should have:
• A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial / manufacturing sector.
• Ideally experience within paper making or a process industry.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of industry-specific machinery and equipment.
• Strong decision-making skills and a problem-solving attitude.
• Proficiency in using business software and IT systems.
