A large and growing food manufacturer based in Bicester has a requirement for a Production Shift Manager on PERMANENT NIGHTS to lead production, ensuring products are produced in a safe, efficient manner.
The Role
Ensure production targets for all manufacturing areas are achieved within agreed safety and quality standards
Maintain a measured factory wide 5S improvement and implement a culture of continuous improvement within all production areas
Monitor and control the production schedule for each area to review and adjust the schedule when needed
Make decisions about equipment usage and determine improvements to the production process
Uphold health and safety standards in line with company requirements
Ensure operating activities revolve around maintaining GMP standards
Monitor performance indicators for operatives and ensure continuous improvement is upheld
Maintain and champion high levels of continuous improvement through strong communications and development of staff
The Candidate
Have the ability to work under pressure in a production and manufacturing environment
Ideally have experience in the FMCG/Food sector specifically
Proven experience in people management
Able to address challenges and problems head on
Ideally hold a qualification in management
Experienced in lean methodology and business improvement strategies
