Hays Manufacturing is proud to be partnering with a globally leading manufacturing business based in Stonehouse as they look to recruit a Production Operations Manager to their well-established and high-performance team. The business recently implemented a very lean manufacturing process which has led to a drastic improvement in overall profitability and customer satisfaction.
Your new role
As the Production Operations Manager, you will be reporting directly into the Site General Manager with a dotted line to the Regional VP. You will be directly managing 6 managers across: Production; Production Engineering; Logistics; Supply Chain. Indirectly you’ll be managing around 200 colleagues (with potential temp uplift to 250). You will be instrumental in supporting your teams as they embrace change and you will, alongside the Project Management Team, take ownership of certain high profile projects such as CAPEX spend.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Production Operations Manager you must have working within a senior production management role for in excess of 5 years. In addition to this, you will need to have an understanding of Lean / 6 Sigma processes. It would be highly beneficial for the Production Operations Manager to hold a Green or Yellow 6 Sigma belt. Furthermore, it would be great to have worked with SAP previously. You must have managed within a General capacity opposed to purely focusing on the Production Management aspects.
What you’ll get in return
As the Production Operations Manager, you’ll earn a salary of up to £65,000 which is dependant upon your experience, this will be agreed with you prior to submitting your application through to the business. In addition to a generous salary, you’ll also be given a generous bonus package (of up to 15%) and a company car (or a £6,000 car allowance).
