Due to expansion a global manufacturer of complex assemblies has a new vacancy for a Production Planning Manager to join the team. The Planning Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the planning department ensuring customer orders are achieved and candidates are sought with experience working in fast paced manufacturing.
The Role
Take ownership of the Master Production Schedule, working with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure resources, materials and processes are available to fulfil customer demand.
Planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance
Promote and support deployment of continuous improvement and lead-time reduction activities
Coach & develop the materials & planning team
Ensure manpower, equipment and raw materials availability to cover production demand.
Maintain SOA data accuracy and ensure effective information flow to customer service function on delivery times, lead-times and build plans
Estimating material, equipment, and labour required for production.
Work with senior management team to drive continuous improvement across the business
Work with customers to ensure the highest levels of service are achieved
The Person
Candidates are sought with experience in developing planning strategies for production in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment with a demonstrable track record of leading a team. With excellent communications skills you will have a right first-time approach and a a sense of urgency while remaining professional at all times.
