Job Description
The Projects Engineering Manager will oversee an automation projects team as well as on site process engineers. they will lead with a hands-on approach in a collaborative but accountable style
They will also:
• Be key in identifying and Implementing new technologies, including specification of requirements, capex justification, planning and implementation
• Be capable of supporting cross functional teams to improve plant KPIs, ensuring production attainment, efficiency, quality and scrap reduction objectives accomplishment
• A proven leader within Automation projects and Production Engineering – cradle to grave ownership
• Committed to wanting to make a difference and developing their team’s potential
• Be pivotal in managing all the resources associated with their team
• Be able to co-ordinate, manage and distribute data to all parts of the business
• A passion for delivering manufacturing innovation
The Successful Applicant
The successful applicants will be:
• Degree qualified in a Engineering discipline (Electro-Mechanical would be advantageous)
• Hands-on experience of assembly and automation systems engineering is essential
• Proven track record in an equivalent role delivering significant value to an organisation
• Qualified Six Sigma Black Belt would be preferred
• Able to deliver innovative solutions on time and to specification is a must
• Able to coach and mentor other well educated and trained engineers
• Possess a practical approach to problem solving and innovation
