This bespoke manufacturing facility with global backing is looking to develop its strong business with the addition of a Purchasing Manager in this newly created position. The Purchasing Manager will have responsibility for managing a small team as well as sourcing new suppliers.
The Role
The role of Purchasing Manager at this bespoke manufacturing facility of low volume products, will focus on the purchasing of engineering products and equipment from existing and newly sourced suppliers. Negotiating with suppliers, planning and forecasting spend as well as the purchasing of consumable products.
The Person
The ideal person for this brand new position of Purchasing Manager will have had Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally within the engineering sector and experience with dealing with suppliers from UK, Europe and the far East. Candidates who have good business acumen, strong negotiating skills and have a good understanding of engineering drawings will be well suited for this role.
